ParentSaathi Privacy Policy

1. About ParentSaathi
ParentSaathi is a parenting-support application intended for parents and guardians. It provides activities, parenting guidance, child journey records and AI-assisted suggestions.
ParentSaathi is not intended for children to use independently.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, ParentSaathi may collect:
- Parent account information, such as name, email address and authentication details.
- Child profile information entered by the parent, such as first name, date of birth, age, gender, grade, languages, interests, routines, strengths and parenting concerns.
- Optional health, food, allergy, dietary, sleep, screen-time, growth and lifestyle information entered by the parent.
- Growth measurements, milestone records and milestone photos uploaded by the parent.
- Questions, AI conversations, saved advice, parenting check-in outcomes and optional notes, feedback, AI-response reports and usage information needed to operate app features.
- Limited technical and diagnostic information needed for security, reliability and troubleshooting.
3. How information is used
We use information to:
- Provide and personalise parenting guidance.
- Display child profiles, growth records, milestones, saved advice and conversation history.
- Generate AI-assisted responses and journey insights using relevant selected-child context, and remember check-ins you choose to save so later guidance can adapt to what happened.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and improve reliability.
- Review user-submitted AI-response reports, improve safety and respond to support requests and important account-related communications.
4. AI processing
When a parent asks an AI question, responds to a saved parenting check-in or requests a journey insight, relevant information may be sent securely to Google Cloud and Gemini services to generate a response.
ParentSaathi does not create a private AI model trained on your child. AI responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed using parental judgement.
5. Service providers
ParentSaathi uses service providers including Firebase, Google Cloud and Gemini for authentication, database storage, file storage, backend processing and AI-assisted features.
These providers may process information according to their own security and privacy obligations.
6. Photos and child records
Milestone photos and child journey records are stored for the signed-in parent account. Parents should upload only photos and information they are authorised to use.
Do not upload government identification documents, financial information or unnecessary sensitive information.
7. Data retention and deletion
Information is retained while the account remains active or as needed to provide the selected features.
Parents may edit or delete individual child profiles and records. The complete account and associated family data can be permanently deleted from the Profile and family screen.
Account deletion includes the parent profile, child profiles, journey records, milestone photos, AI usage, conversations, parenting check-ins, saved advice and AI-response reports associated with the account.
8. Data security
ParentSaathi uses authentication, access controls, secure connections and backend validation to help protect user data.
No digital service can guarantee absolute security. Parents should use a strong password and protect access to their device.
9. Health and developmental guidance
ParentSaathi provides general educational and parenting information. It does not diagnose or treat medical, developmental or mental-health conditions.
For urgent concerns or professional assessment, contact a qualified doctor, paediatrician, psychologist or other appropriate professional.
10. Parent and guardian responsibility
The parent or guardian is responsible for the accuracy of information entered into the app and for deciding whether an activity or suggestion is appropriate for their child.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when ParentSaathi features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top will be updated when material changes are made.
